Technologically Advanced Computer Assisted Vision Examinations

Precision Eyecare is proud to introduce the most technologically advanced method to determine your spectacle lens prescription the ALL-NEW CV-3000 Computerized Vision Tester. The digital CV-3000 Vision Tester electronically interfaces with all other automated vision testing instruments we utilize, allowing a seamless transition through your eye exam. With a push of a button, our patients are able to instantly compare the current exam findings to their previous glasses prescription and the objective measurements from our autorefractor. This means fast and extremely accurate lens prescriptions. Precision Eyecare is dedicated to providing you with the clearest, most comfortable vision possible.

Advanced Digital Retinal Imaging and Telemedicine

Precision Eyecare offers the very latest technology in digital retinal imaging to detect the earliest signs of eye disease. The procedure is painless and designed to keep patient comfort a priority. This instrument produces a high quality color digital image of the retina, instantly displaying it on a high-resolution monitor that can be used to detect the earliest stages of retinal change. It ensures that clinical information is comprehensive and facilitates in the proper diagnosis and management of a wide range of eye disease. Macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal detachments, and diabetic retinopathy are just a few of the common eye diseases that the imaging system is helpful in identifying and tracking over time. An additional benefit this system brings is the ability to e-mail images to other specialists for review, if needed.

The old saying 'a picture is worth a thousand words' has never been so true. Investing in this type of technology is just one of the many ways Precision Eyecare demonstrates its commitment to providing patients with the best diagnostic care available today.

A New Dawn in Glaucoma Testing

Precision Eyecare is committed to a lifetime of healthy vision by providing advanced eye disease detection. To help diagnose vision threatening problems such as glaucoma as early as possible, we utilize the very latest advance in visual field evaluation - Frequency Doubling Technology (FDT).

We are proud to introduce the Humphrey Matrix automated perimeter. The Humphrey Matrix employs Frequency Doubling Technology which targets particular types of cells within the retina known as low redundancy retinal ganglion cells. These cells are sparsely populated within the retina so there is less ability for healthy retinal cells to compensate and mask the early visual field defects caused by damaged retinal cells. Also, low redundancy ganglion cells are very sensitive to movement therefore early cell damage is documented by reduced patient sensitivity to a flickering image. The Humphrey Matrix can likely detect early glaucoma damage years before other visual field technologies used in other eye care practices.

New Corneal Measurement Technology

We utilize the most advanced corneal mapping technology. Computerized corneal topography is a three dimensional imaging process used to map the surface power of the cornea. The data points gathered are then digitized and analyzed by sophisticated computer software. The result is a detailed map of the corneal curvature much like a topographical map of land.

With this information we are able to design soft and gas permeable contact lenses with curvature changes every 10 microns creating the ultimate custom lens.

In addition, data gathered from topography can be used in the diagnosis and management of corneal diseases and curvature abnormalities.

Also, this instrument is essential for determining if a patient is a candidate for refractive surgery such as LASIK, in addition to being necessary in the management of their pre-operative and post-operative care.
